About

Edward O’Mahony is a Dublin-based composer for film, television, and visual media. With a background in classical training and contemporary production, his work blends musical precision with strong narrative instinct — creating bespoke, emotionally grounded scores that serve story, character, and tone.

Approaching each project with the mindset of a storyteller, Edward works closely with directors to realise their vision, shaping music that supports the emotional rhythm of the cut without overpowering it. His scores are rooted in drama, subtlety, and atmosphere, with a focus on clarity and intention.

He is currently on the board of directors of the Screen Composers Guild of Ireland.
